Karen Vargas, CEO


As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of A3 Technology, Inc (A3T), Ms. Vargas has over 30 years' of experience as a market leader providing high-impact information management and strategic business solutions.  She is a proven visionary who builds strong leadership teams and motivates employees to deliver exceptional results.  Based on Ms. Vargas’ dedicated support of the Federal Aviation Administration, A3T received ATCA’s Small and Disadvantaged Business of the Year Award. Additionally, Ms. Vargas was chosen as the Minority Small Business “Person of the Year” by the U.S. Small Business Administration. 

Bart Reames, President/COO


As President / Chief Operations Officer (COO), Mr. Reames has more than 20 years of experience in Federal and Commercial markets. He oversees A3T’s operations and ensures superior customer service. Mr. Reames creates the company’s strategic vision and business objectives by monitoring market trends and customer needs in order to formulate the business strategy and marketing approaches. Since joining the company, he has helped optimized the company's operating capabilities and implemented new business strategies that lead to significant company growth.   

Kevin Walker, CFO


As Chief  Financial  Officer (CFO), Mr. Walker has over 30 years of experience providing management, and engineering support for the FAA National Airspace System. Mr. Walker is a customer-focused leader recognized for his reliance on the values of integrity, trust, follow-through, and respect. Prior to working at A3T, Mr. Walker worked at URS providing technical and managerial experience in support of all Transportation Group contracts. 

Derek Chan, CMO


As Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Mr. Chan has more than 30 years’ experience in the federal government and aviation industry.   Mr. Chan’s  customer focused marketing strategy has led many corporations to consistently meet and exceed growth goals.  His success at A3T has garnered a 75% plus proposal win ratio.  Mr. Chan possesses over thirty  years of experience supporting all phases of business development and professional services in the federal marketplace. 

Management Team

Rita Hawkins, Sr. Director Civilian Programs


As Senior Director of Civilian Programs, Ms. Hawkins focuses on innovative solutions that introduce new opportunities and improve systems for A3T customers.  She brings more than 25 years’ experience in program management, government consulting, program development and execution, and business operations, both in private industry and government agencies.  In her previous role as Director of Enterprise Application Development for ASRC Federal, she managed numerous government (FAA, EPA, US Forest Service, USDA NRCS, NRC) and commercial contracts providing technical personnel who delivered a full range of engineering and IT services to clients across the US.

David Zerfas, Account Manager Engineering Services


 As Lead for Engineering Services, Mr. Zerfas has over 20 years' of aviation and project management experience solving Air Traffic Management and Systems Engineering challenges for the FAA. He leads a group focused on achieving the FAA’s NextGen vision through concept maturation, program and portfolio management, legacy system modernization and acquisition management. As a Naval Aviator and US Naval Academy graduate, Mr. Zerfas brings a unique perspective to the engineering challenges of air traffic modernization.

Tyron Moore, Account Manager Financial / Enterprise Applications


As Account Manager of Financial and Enterprise Applications, Mr. Moore has over 20 years' of experience in program and financial management spanning across the areas of aviation, business, and construction. He leads a business unit that provides planning, budget, and execution expertise across multiple agencies. His adaptive management approach allows organizations to improve decisions and practices, while adjusting to specific needs and increasing business value.
